Actually, right before he was telling us to draw, he mentioned picturing certain monuments very quickly, and that might have caused numerous people to get the hint of writing the stone henge. Ultimately relating to Pal said about him influencing the crowd.

I drew a childish looking sun. I’ve read what ‘ChilliMasta’ wrote but don’t see how that makes a difference, unless she ran all the way from where she was to draw on the back of the board [which was in plain sight anyway...] and then run back with none of us noticing but catching a glimpse? …I dunno…

ChilliMasta, I don’t think I can agree with you – I’ve checked out the video and can see no sign of a switch.
I think that he has done his usual thing of mind control to instruct her of what to draw. what I think has occured is that, at the river bank, he draws certain symbols with his hands while talking to her:
you can see him sweep his hand across (while holding paint brush in right hand), we then cut to her – i expect that he here draws Stonehenge in the air; while he says “wrap it up…” he draws a circle with brish; and finally he presents two fists – it has to be speculation because it is out of vision, but i wonder if he has again swept his hand across (representing top of the monument) and followed this with the the fists representing the pillars.
This could easily be replicated in the museum, or even outside, as was shown last week with the Giraffe thing and the giving thing.
That said, still a good piece of TV; we’ve not mentioned the mirroring – that was still impressive, even with the explaination!

Derren Brown is a magician! His slant on the medium is slightly different in that he uses mind control and subliminal messages etc but he is essentially a magician like David Blaine or Paul Daniels. Most of the stunts are ‘tricks’ and we must remember that rather than finding a solution to them and then branding him a fraud! OF COURSE HE DIDN’T GUESS THE LOTTERY, OF COURSE DAVID BLAINE CAN’T LEVITATE! Its just good entertainment. The sooner people realise that he is essentially a magician with some cool skills then the sooner we can enjoy all this for what it is……..TRICKS OF THE MIND!!
